Anyone come up wth a larger plate that will fit over the OEM top case plate....I 'm thinking of something that extends the size..when camping..leaving the top case at home and making use of the rack..if that makes sense ::008::

Just loose the Yam plate n fit an Altrider rack? Decent surface area. The Yam plate can then be bolted on/off to the Altrider rack. No drilling needed as holes already there n lined up... Would sooner there be a Altrider mounting kit for the OEM box like they provide for Givis tho... Saying that I reckon I'm gonna remove the Yam rack off the Altrider n just bolt the box direct to the Altrider with quick off pucks or wingnuts... Does this shite make sense? :D

Hi Bryn,

Whilst I am not using the OE box, I can commend the quality of the Altrider rear rack suggested by tenbob. I think you will find it offers pillions a bit of extra room too. Personally, i use it with a Givi box, but the rack offers various options.

These guys did a good price for me: -

Well I've just been in bikeshop to see about bolting the OEM topbox to the Altrider back. Surprise... not straightforward! Need to do some thinking I reckons.., which might take a while... :'(
