There should be printed instructions inside the topbox. If not, maybe one of us can scan 'em and email 'em to you.

Just a question about the locks for the cases. Is that what the three lock cylinders are that came under my seat of my new bike-??
Thanks. I seem to remember the guy doing the final checkout with me saying something about then the key is the same for the bike and the cases if I was to buy them in the future ....

Yes. They match your ignition and are user-installable in the Yamaha side cases and the top box.

Re: OEM Top Case

I am going through all of the OEM case boxes to get ready for the install. I see all the stuff in the kit for mounting the side cases but don't see anything regarding mounting the top case. Is it just a no brainer with existing hardware or am I missing a mounting kit? Thanks.
As I recall, the top case doesn't have a mounting kit (since it requires no new parts) and the mounting instructions are just the first couple pages in the combo Side-Case/Top-Case User Guide, which "flips" to be two guides in one.

I found the Security Torx T50 socket at Lowe's. (already had a set which included the tiny security T10 for the lock screws).

I really like the look and build of the cases on my raven bike, but the locks and long shank keys just feel a bit flimsy...

Would prefer to be able to close the cases without locking them/using the key as my old F800GS cases could be opened and closed without the key if desired and that worked well for me.
