Hi all, I'm from Indonesia and quite new to motorcycling with only 2 years of experience under my belt. That said I've been running through 4 bikes these past 2 years - a 125, 225, 250 and right now I have only one bike which is a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 (or ER6F in certain parts of the world). I ride it everyday and everywhere almost making me feel like I don't need a car. However as I know more about bikes I tend to like the big ADV machines more, especially the Super Tenere which is probably the smartest choice out of the Japanese ADV/ADV-like two-cylinders right now. If my experience with the 225 Yamaha was any indication then the ST should be even more nigh-indestructible.

I'm looking forward to be able to get one in the next few years so hopefully this forum can be a good source of information on the bike itself, farkling, and inspiring trips.

Cheers!

I went from a Ninja 650 to the Super Tenere. I loved the 650 but the biggest issue I had with it was wind. I had a Zero Gravity Touring Windscreen but even with that, the wind would just hit me in the face like a brick wall. That, and that stupid windscreen melted my dash cluster. :p

If you do get a Tenere, then you'll love it. More power than the 650, a lot more comfortable, and it can go off-road.

Howdy,

I had an ER6F for commuting to work for a while, it was very small for me, but did the 30 mile a day commute brilliantly. Swapped it for a V-Strom 650 - handy as my commute is now 120 miles and the V-Strom can manage 2 days on a tank of fuel.

Good luck on getting an S10

::004:: from London, Canada ADV Nick! It sounds like you are doing everything in the right order. Good luck with your quest for a Super Tenere, overall the best motorcycle in the world, IMHO!

Cheers,

Bruce
