I just put a deposit down for my dealer to order me the 2016 anniversary Super Tenere. I didn't care about the anniversary so much as, I WANTED YELLOW. I have perused the forums here as well as the mega thread on ADV to convince myself this is the right bike and what to look out for. As near as I can tell the main things to look out for is the hard start issue and watching the spokes especially at the begging. Am I missing anything else?

For farkles I am going to have to pick up some crash bars and skid plate. Looks like there are a couple of good options there. For panniers I am thinking Bumot. I have never liked the look of top boxes but need a back rest for the 2up I will be doing. Does anyone have experience with this one?

I'm excited to be getting the bike, dreading the time it will take before the bike will be here :(

Don't forget tire pressure and fuel level. Those are the main things it's a Yamaha ::021::

Congratulations on your purchase! I've had mine for four years really enjoy it and plan on keeping it many years.

Congrats! I was born in Iowa. Still have extended family in the Cedar Rapids area. Where about in IA are ya?
I currently live and work in Cedar Rapids.

And I am not worried! I took the complete lack of stress in all the threads to be a great thing. I am all about riding on the days I want to, and playing on the garage when I want, not when the bike says it's time!

Welcome from Iowa here also.
C.R. is just a hand full away so if you want to go for a ride some time let me in on it.
I had guys hitting me up to ride all morning but my son wanted me to ride with him so you know who I went with.
Then my wife came home from playing with the grand girls so we went for a ride.
I need a vacation. [so I can ride more] I'm ride deprived!

Steve
