Hello all,

I'm from the Netherlands and i am going to pick up in about 2 weeks my 'new' XT1200Z from 2010. It has 22.000km on the clock and is really like new :)
I ride now a blue XT660Z from 2009 that will stay next to the SuperTenere. Best of both worlds. :)

Thanks for the welcome :)

I was on the trigger for a T7 World Rally...but it was surprisingly way to small for me after a testdrive on a T7 WorldRaid. No legroom unfortunately, and it was to low. And that huge tank was killing me in a testdrive with no room for my knees... The normal T7 Extreme was a better fit(with also alot of adaption to make it higher/ fit me ergonomically).

But then i test drove a SuperTenere. Ok, that bike was a way more of a relaxt ride, wow!! What a steady machine. Good wind protection also etc. Has alot of torque in that engine, and sounds great.
But is still a bit small for my length(1.93m), my knees are on the plastic side shields of the tank haha(i can get use to that tho). Seat needs a few cm's up and the steering bar a bit raised up. Maybe the feet pegs little down and backwards to fit my feet properly...then the ST will be a good fit for me. Have some parts in order for it to make it my own, and for the seat i will inform at a upholstery for the possibility's. That Touratech High saddle is also a option, but is a bit expensive.

So i kept the trusty blue XT660Z that fits me perfectly (after a lot of changes i did to it)(instead to trade it in on a T7), and got a blue XT1200Z First Edition next to it for long distances :)
Cool thing that there is so much information available about the XT1200Z and communities around it, that surprised me. Very nice.

@MileageMonster: Was looking for it, but couldn't find it. Only 1 that looks inactive...
