My name is Toon and I ride an XTZ1200 since June 29.
Before that I owned 4 Connies (1000), then 3 FJR1300's and 2 Connies (1400).
Till now I have a lot more fun with this bike then ever before.

Hey Toon, welcome! We're glad to have another person of "experience" on board. Us poor US bound folks get to sit around till May before the bikes arrive, so hopefully you can whet our appetite with some tidbits about ownership now and then.

Hello and welcome Toon. I envy you as you already have what we all want so badly. Give us some more stories to live through with your experiences with the bike so far.

Like the way Sport-Utility Vehicles should be in the USA, not all clean with happy soccer moms driving them holding a cup of coffee!!!! Drive it in the mud!!!!!!

Nice pics Walrus, tell us more about your seat modification. It looks like you may have added spacers to position the front part of the seat higher?

I placed the black plastic underlayer in the position for highest seat position.
I took away two rubber spacers at the rear of the seat.
So now the front part of the seat is in high position en the rear part in the low position.
I filled up the opening between tank and seat with grey foam en extended the rubber nose to prevent te seat to move forward.
So my seat is now leaning a bit backwards and I do not slide forward anymore.
I hope you understand what I mean?

Thanks Walrus, I did something similar on my Strom to raise the front and lower the back. I used thin felt pads at the rear to keep the plastic seat pan from rubbing on the frame.
