Hello to everyone. New to the forum thing and looking forward to it. Traded my 2002 V-max for a used 2012 tenere 6 months ago. It had 2200 miles and now its pushing 12000 miles. Been riding Yamahas for a long time and love this bike! Would rather ride this thing then drive anything. Working on my dirt technique and finding there's a bit steeper learning curve with a heavy bike like this.

Welcome aboard! What part of AZ are you in? I'm in north central Phoenix, and try to get out and ride as much as I can...which usually means taking the bike to whatever job I have booked in town.

thank you to all who have given the warm welcome. in response to avgeek, i live in northwest tucson. im planning a ride up the fire control road of mt. lemmon and also a one day loop ride to roosevelt dam/apache lake. have started to build my overnight camping kit and i think im going to do a test fitting on the bike to make sure it all fits in my bags and such. in response to vanderwho, your bun burner ride sounds like a hoot! if you have the time, the ride through oak creek canyon from flag to sedona is really cool. beautiful scenery and nice twisties to keep you honest. did that ride with my wife a few years back and it was stellar! i hear colorado has some awesome rides and hope to make it there someday.
