Venture authorized me to post this here: http://www.bopisolutions.com/passion.php

Last summer, my riding partner, Tim Yow, and me, rode 23,000 miles in 48 days circumnavigating the United States and Canada starting and ending in Key West. This included 2700 miles of the most notorious roads in the two countries: Dalton, Dempster, Fort Liard Highway, and Trans-Labrador. Beyond motorcyling it is storing of dreaming and believing.

We both were riding KLR 650's (this was before I had my Tenere).

There is a Facebook like link on the page above. I will be sharing details not in the book there as time goes on.

Alan, I've still got a bookmark for your Spot from that trip, or maybe it was your Copper Canyon run. Did you set the records you wanted to set on that loop? Great to see you got a Tenere. How many others from the MTF got one, do you know?

The KLR I used on this trip was the same one taken to Copper Canyon. This was a new Iron Butt Ride, so I guess any time would have been a record. :) There are several MTF folks here: boB, Jason, Brian, ....

Congratulations on your adventure and putting it to print. As a published author, I know how hard that is (damn editors!). I hope I have an adventure worthy of print some day. In the mean time, I’ll order and read yours. :)

Looks interesting. I enjoy listening to Tim Yow on Sidestand Up. Bought a Nook copy and put it in my queue.

Not sure how I missed this. Thanks for buying the Nook copy. If you have a color reader, all of the pictures are in color.

I think you will enjoy the book. While the subject matter is motorcycling, the story is about dreaming, believing, and achieving.

It isn't about the bike, it's about the ride, right? I love my Tenre, but if I were to do this ride again, I'd probably ride the KLR. I also have an F650GS which I could have ridden and took the KLR.

Me too but I bought Passion in the Wind for its adventure without vehicle priority.

Buy the book - ride the ride - on your Tenere ;) With this book you'll know where to go and how to get there...

(J/k) means 'just kidding' sorry about the confusion. Sounds like a great book.
