Hi everybody, I got my brand new ES at the end of April and so far, I really love this bike. Coming from a 2004 Wee Strom, I would say that the weight difference isn't a factor so far. The beast is really well balanced. The height difference is, surprisingly, not a factor as well! The only time that I have to step a little bit on my toes (I'm 5 foot 9 inches) is when the ES suspension is set to 2 passengers with luggage. Everything comes to flat footed again once the passenger is seated. As for the power and the torque goes, it's like coming from junior league and moving way up into major league! I'm already looking for new farkle (crash bars and skid plate) but I don't know yet if the ones made by Alt-Rider will fit the new 2014 S10. Anyone here knows about that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

See you guys on the road and take care!

My parents were from Montreal. Great city! Partied many times on Crescent Street. Riding the ST in the Laurentians will be very nice, n'est pas?

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! Speaking of warm, around here it's still pretty cold (about 4 celcius this morning) and those heated grips are a blessing! Already reached 1300 km and first maintenance done this morning. So far so good, this bike is like a Super Wee Strom on steroids ::26::

Let me add my welcome, Red Storm. I have had the opportunity to visit Montreal a number of times and always enjoyed it. My oldest son graduated from McGill Law School two years ago, so my wife and I went for his graduation ceremony and had a blast. I am glad you are enjoying the Super Ten. I purchased mine last summer (2012, but brand new on the showroom floor) and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Enjoy!

Thanks Bruce. I haven't visited a lot of southern Ontario yet aside from Toronto but I will this summer. Any ride suggestion in your area?

Absolutely! The best riding in southern Ontario is found in New York and Pennsylvania! ::013:: Just kidding, a little bit, anyway. There are some pretty roads, especially along the northern shore of Lake Erie. Also around the Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph regions. The sunsets on Lake Huron, especially around Grand Bend, are world class, well worth seeing.

Cheers,

Bruce

Thanks for the tips. We're half an hour from Vermont and Upstate New York. Those are very convenient backyards indeed! If you happen to have the chance to ride in the Laurentians, try the 327 north from Lachute. It's about one hour north west of Montreal. It goes all the way to Mont Tremblant. If you have more time, do the long loop 327 north, 117 south and 329 south that will bring you back near Lachute. It's not the Tail of the Dragon but still...Lots of twisties ::26::

Thanks, Red Storm. You are blessed to live in an area with such fine riding roads. I have been to that area of upstate New York and Vermont many times, and the roads in and around the Laurentians are magnificent. A perfect setting for Super Tenere explorations! ::008::

Cheers,

Bruce
