Yes, I love V twins and up til now, my all time favorite engine was my 996 Super Hawk. Well, it didn't take long for me to decide that I have a new all time favorite engine, once I put a few miles on my Super Ten. Great rhythm and character, wonderful, useable power.

In the immortal words of Fats Domino, "yes, it's me and I'm in love again".

Great grunty power delivery. Can't lug it so low that it can't recover. Even though I try and avoid that anytime, but especially with a new engine. I found myself using the 1200-2500 range more than expected on the ride home. Spins along nicely on the slab as well. But it really shines on mountain roads. Great engine.
They had one of the factory bash plates there, so I had them put it on instead of the plastic thing. Since no one makes a truly robust one, I'll wait and see what comes out and decide from there. Until the Bridgestones are gone, I doubt I'll be doing a lot of off road rock stuff anyway.
