Thinking about the MRA Touring Screen (without the spoiler). Anyone have one and what do you think of it?

The stock shield works OK for me (no turbulence to speak of - 5'11"/32" inseam with Arai XD3), but just prefer a tinted shield. Looks like it will work with the Yamaha side shields as well.

Nice looking screen. I would be interested in user feedback as well.

stevepsd, did you end up getting one of these?

Anyone else?

I have one, and the jury is still out.

I mounted it with the Touratech adjustable mount and could not find a position where I did not get more turbulent air flow compared to the stock screen. Tried numerous positions, but the one that replicated the stock windshield angle worked best, same for the bottom position of the screen.

Then just before getting a nasty cold/flu bug for the past 3 weeks, I removed the Yamaha OEM side wind deflectors and managed to only take one short ride and it was much, much improved. Hopefully I will give it a more in-depth try this weekend.

I am wondering why did you take off the OEM side wind deflectors? Did they not fit well? Are you saying the deflectors with the MRA screen made the turbulence worse?
I just bought a set of the deflectors and the weather isn't cooperating for a test ride. I installed the Madstad brackets and am still trying to find the best position with the stock screen. Again the weather here isn't helping with test rides.

I have had two MRA windshields (on Bandit & Vstrom) but they were with the spoiler. They worked well for me and the adjustability was a nice option to have as temps change. I opted for the Parabellum for the ST and like it a lot but it may work too efficiently for hot weather.

The side deflectors just created much more turbulence with the MRA screen than without.

Yours has the spoiler, right? Mine does not. I get much more turbulence coming from the sides with the side deflectors fitted than without. No so with the stock screen.

Correct. I had the Yamaha Touring screen before, and that had a lot of turbulence (with side deflectors).

Interesting....was the turbulence with the Yamaha Touring screen over the top of the screen and/or from the sides?
