Hi! I wanted to share with this forum that a member of your group lost his battle with Leukemia this past month. DirtRoadPassion (Bob Ferer) and I met through our KLR Rallies, back when he started riding DS with his Gen 2 KLR! Later on, he got a nice DRZ400 to handle the rougher stuff, and eventually got his ST for his last few years of riding. He continued riding with his KLR buds and made new pals with those having a common interest in Adventure Riding!

I wanted to invite anyone who is interested, to join our KLR Community on a couple of rallies we are dedicating to Bob. His sons are planning on riding as well. We don't have a registration fee or anything........we just pay as we go.

So sorry to here this. I rode with Bob at my first Tenere gathering at Crawford before it closed and at the Arkansas Rally last year. Enjoyed it very much always looked forward to seeing him.. He was always very willing to help me with off road riding skills. For those that might have not know him, he was the guy who went and got the rider that was stuck in the mud by himself and burned up his clutch.
What a great guy I will miss him.

Tony, I want to thank you for identifying for me who Bob was at the Arkansas Rally.

I didn't know him. But now I do a little. Sounds like I crossed paths with a fine gentleman.
(Something that happens often in our passion for riding)

God bless Bob and his family.

I'm not sure how this popped up to my attention, but I'm glad it did, I'm also glad you took the time to come over here and post this Chuck.

Bob was a great guy, always a pleasure to be around.

I have my DRP decal on my tenere as is only fitting!
