Hello Tenere crowd, from the Texas Gulf Coast.

Been on 2 wheels of some sort for 45 yrs or so.
My old lady has got to where she don't care to ride much anymore so I'm thinning my herd. First decided to stay with a touring bike but look for something lighter and more nimble than my Electra Glide, so Last Fall I bought an 08 BMW RT from my uncle. Great bike, a lot of fun to ride, but don't think it's going to fit my current needs either.

Been kickin tires on these "Adv" bikes for several months.
I've rode the following
2014 V Strom 1000, 2014 Triumph Tiger XC SE, 2015 Tenere non ES.

All nice bikes and all have a thing or 2 I didn't care for.

For reasons not to mention in this post, I "think" I'm now leaning towards the Tenere.

So, I'm likely going to be asking some questions and possibly bugging the shit out of y'all.

Ride safe and don't forget to laugh every day.

Welcome! As my inmates stated, fire away.
I have a "herd" too. 7 currently.

If they passed a law that said I could only keep one, .......
That amazing 2012 PDP Tenere could rest easy. She ain't going anywhere.

Welcome aboard and congrats on regaining garage space.

Be aware that the search function works in this forum very well, and with several years of history a lot of questions have already been asked and answered. It's a great resource for you.

Welcome Shovelhead, I too crossed over from a 1952 pan , heritage, road king ,ultra , vrod fat boy, and currently a streetglide to a tenere. It's hard to let go of the lifestyle associated with the harley ownership, especially with me still working on them. The Tenere is an absolute blast to ride and own. I am in San Marcos Texas and will be happy to ride and help where I can. There are a few of us in this area and meet up every now and then. Good luck with your decision and purchase.

welcome to the forum mr. shovelhead.... the tenere is not the most HP but it is the most reliable, its stable, its better than me in its ability, it has a nice sound to it especialy when you put on a good slip on.... about the only time your gonna wrench on it is when you put on the farkles..... and i know you have lots of riding expierence, but please consider riding gear...helmet ,jacket, gloves, some times people crash.....if im presuming to much please forgive, but most harley guys dont have gear, dew rag aint gear....in short you will love the bike, and almost all the tenere riders ive met have been worth meeting(there is one exception and he will remain annoymous)and again , welcome....
