I just got my Jesse 10" Odyssey II's mounted without the grab rails mounted.
The bags are 36" across the back. Will measure the front after dinner, but they appear a bit wider in the front, probably the 36 3/4" that Twisties reported. The bags are plumb however.
I did no cutting of anything on the bike. I am within a 1/16" or so of the front tie-down. The left rack slightly touches the OEM muffler cover at the very end of the cover. This will be remedied when I jettison the stock muffler and shroud. I am going with a Leo Vince Carbon Fiber can which does not radiate as much heat. If needed I will put some heat shielding on the bag.
I ended up using a combo of Jesse and other spacers. I'll report back with exactly what I used.
I do not see these bags getting any tighter without cutting bits off the bike, and I might do what Sallydog did with trimming the underside of the front tie down to clear the front Jesse mount. This will probably gain me around 1/2" to 1" total. I'll only do this when I replace the stock muffler.
