Well, it may be just below 0 degrees here in Edmonton, but I've seen people out riding as of the past weekend.

I got home and stuck my registration to the fridge, in preparation for rolling out the fast black Super Ten. Thinking maybe March 20th this year, over 1 week later than last year.

How are conditions in everyone else's neck of the woods?

(Rem we already know you're still under an arctic amount of snow) :D

I rode my yamaha last weekend, but it was the WR2fitty equipped with studs front and rear. Chilly 20 degrees here in Ohio and I had blast. Riding with studs on frozen tundra is like having Velcro for tires.

Can't wait to uncloak the monster when the temp rises a bit.

We're looking at a nasty cold snap here in South Texas, with lows plunging to the 40s and daily highs not even getting to the 70s for three or four days. Maybe we can park the 4x4s and start riding again in a couple weeks.

There is just the tiniest little bit of me laughing really hard at you poor sods south of here and the cold snap you got. The service road in front of my house and my parking lot are still full of ice and snow up to the curb. Both curbs. It's going to take a couple of weeks of much nicer weather here before we get to the point you folks are living with in Kansas/Texas. I'll keep getting around in my Ford Focus until things get better.

That said, if I could live someplace where I could ride year round and I was kept from doing so for even a week, you can bet I would resent the crap out of it.

OH, yeah. Still winter here. That being said, we are right at 0 (32) pretty well every day now for an afternoon high. March is "spring" month up here. Once it kicks in, the snow goes very fast. It evaporates more than melts. I am able to get out of my ice filled driveway by about April 11 each year, and the roads are clear a good two weeks before. Hard to say what's going to happen, but it's looking like we might have a decent (dare I say early ?) spring this year. My bike is at Yamaha this year, so I'll get a jump on it.

I am highly anticipatory .... I have been riding up and down on my motorcycle lift the past week or so. I stop by Yukon Yamaha about every other day. I'll keep you posted. Fins to the bone. R ::001::

Temps are in the 30s during the day but there is too much salt and sand on the roads to ride. My bike is brand spanking new and I'm not going to ruin it with salt spray. My driveway is still covered in a layer of snow and its long. I'd probably dump it before I got to the hard road anyway. My KLR will probably get road time before the S10.

Had a quick blast a couple of weeks back, getting warmer and lighter now so should soon be out more regularly.

Only going out on the best days as I can't be bothered to spend ages cleaning the bike after a quick run and there is still loads of crap and Salt all over our Roads, my riding season will start properly at Easter if the weather is OK

Damn you mother nature and your fickle, fickle ways!

5-10 cm of snow, -15c and more on the way. It's like the worst c*cktease, when we were one week of decent above zero weather away from having two wheels down. Now Edmonton looks just like Rem's picture, and no end in sight.

Be right back, going to find a groundhog to strangle.

It was 91 here in Tucson, AZ today. Right now it's 82 degrees at 8:30 PM. I hate the heat here.

MMmmm. 65F to 75F everyday (95%) or for my fellow Canadians 18C to 24C. It does rain about 8 to 10 times a year.

Here is a view from the patio.

That's Malibu on the far right in the evening fog.

It was minus 30 yesterday morning, but it's a scant minus 25 this morning. Spring is on the way. ::012:: ::008:: R

We just returned from 4 months (and 11,000 km) in Texas. Wonderful state for riding just about everywhere, as long as you are out of most large cities. Here in NB, we have -8C at night but above freezing by day. I can usually ride by early April but we got a lot of snow this year (while we were away...) so I suspect it may be a tad later. Wife ordered a 2013 F700GS (too short in the leg for the ST) so we will be out in the gravel later on this year. Safe rides to all and an early Spring.

Hah, I'm in the same boat in Edmonton. The water comes up to the rims of my car in the parking lot, and there is way too much ice on the side streets. But once you get past the ersatz lakes and icebergs, the main roads look passable if not for potholes the size of a motorcycle tire that could swallow you whole. I'm going to register tomorrow, maybe I can get some kilometers on this weekend and ride to work next week.

We're gettin' there. Plus 6 today ... that's about 43 for you uninformed types. There will be a major meltoff today. Every degree above freezing is a day closer to riding. I know you're pulling for me. R ::003::
