Came across this on another forum. He finally gets to actually riding around page 35. Until then it's more philosophy, gear, etc. I haven't read the whole thing, but I did note that once he gets around to talking about riding he starts with when to stand, why to stand, and riding position, which is the one topic we have discussed around here. I think he forgot to address descents in that discussion, maybe he gets around to it later. In any event, although I haven't finished reading this, I thought I'd share. Hopefully spark some discussion. What does this guy have right, and what do you do differently? BTW, fair warning, he does push his products and store a little... I am not familiar with him, but I do know some world adv riders that use the Metal Mule stuff and I have seen it after it had a few continents worth of travel on it. It's for real anyway, FWIW.

Thanks for sharing. Although there are some hard fact's that he states that I do not subscribe to such as in the dirt stand only, or no wheel spin or no countersteering in the dirt (sitting, wheelspin, coutersteering are all very important and valuable dirt techniques / tools even on our big bikes), there is still alot of good information and it's well written. Good stuff!
