Took awhile but I figured out how to remove the Yamaha saddlebags by turning the front latch, but haven't figured out how to remove the top box , any help would be appreciated
The key didn't give me any trouble it was the spring loaded lower release mechanism, but after the tip I just pulled a little harder and it released fine.RoboCop said:Yep, all three have to do with the the turn of the key.... ::018::
Had that happen to me last summer. Drove 25 miles before I noticed it was missing. Backtracked almost to home when a mexican friend stopped me and asked me if I was missing something. He laughed and said follow me. Some battle wounds on it but still works fine. I now have a bolt through the bottom. Never to happen again.Ryan G. said:The worst way to take it off is to not click it down properly when you put it on. That way you can see it bouncing down the road in the rear view mirror. Its easier to do then you would think. As the box gets older and gets some dirt in the latch, I found its harder to get it to click down to the rack. After I recked my OEM box, I bought a BUMOR top box and its way better.
What is a BUMOR top box ? Sure wouldn't take much to beat the Yamaha box.Ryan G. said:The worst way to take it off is to not click it down properly when you put it on.
