No. Nothing stuck. I'm seriously not worried about this and don't plan to chase it. Just seeing if the OP or others might be hearing something similar.

Ever since I have had my tenere I have noticed a high pitched wind related noise around the 50-55mph mark. Its been there with crash bars or not, different tires, windscreen on stock bracket in all positions, windscreen on madstad bracket, with or without winglets and with or without a dash infill panel, with or without passenger.

It seems to come from the front of the bike down low but I cant for the life of me figure it out! Any suggestions?

Have you checked both the front, left/right air-intakes within the cowlings on the side of the headlights.?
Perhaps something is stuck in there....

My bad, I meant to reply to nd4spdbh's original post and have since corrected.

I don't have a clue what could be causing the noise but my guess would be some plastic on the front of the bike in the air scoop areas. Of course it is just a complete guess. A couple years ago I kept getting a whistle and sometimes it started with a vibration sounding whistle. I was out on the road and it just kept popping up driving me crazy. it was at higher speeds that normally in my daily travels I never reach. After a couple days on the road I realized it was my helmet! I could duck down behind the wind screen and it would go away. The thing was I had to have a bit of a cross wind to make that whistle so sometimes even when I ducked down behind the wind screen it would not go away depending on the cross wind. You would think that would be easy to find but it sounded like it was coming from the bike! Funny thing is with this same helmet on my other bikes that never happens, just on the Super T. A bit of duct tape on a vent and no more noise the rest of that trip. Good luck in the search.

FOUND IT. After taping up various spots on the nose of the bike I came to the conclusion my high pitched teakettle whistle noise that was 100% a wind noise was from the gap around the top edge of the headlights and the headlight cowling. Pictured is the tape that got rid of the noise.

For the actual solution.

Pulled the cowling off of the headlights (removed windsheild, removed wind deflector, then finally the cowling). Once the cowling was off I put the above stuck to the headlight assembly around the edge of the headlight (fully circled the headlight not just the area where the tape is) where the gap is between it and the cowling. Buttoned it all back up. Zero noise.

I get some sort of "tone" at that same speed. Done it for last 31000 miles. Like you, I hear it with a dn without earbuds and with various configuration of windscreens (Madstadt or not, different screens). I found that it seems to happen in 5th gear.

My assumption is that it's a resonant frequency from something. I can't swear that it happened before my Altrider skid plate, but maybe. Or perhaps the skid plate is simply reflecting a sounds.

Don't know if the same as yours or not. I'll try to gauge it on a frequency basis for comparison. Right now I'd put it at the upper mid range of a piano.

Hey! Yes, I hear this too. Is yours a solid tone or does it have little “blips”?

See above post!

I get a resonance at exactly 60mph which i believe is my tires, but i cant be sure. Its never changed and never worried me.
