Hi all,

I'd just like to start by saying thanks guys!

I have been a Triumph Tiger 1050 ABS rider for the last 6 years. I have been wanting a new bike for quite some time but needed something that could do it all and carry the wife in comfort. Various bikes seemed to have their plus points and a fair few disadvantages, it's difficult to chose when you can only have one! After many months of indecision and going round in circles I settled on a Tenere even though the press reviews were not good. However it seemed to be the best compromise our of everything out there.

I spoke to a chap I know who had a 2012 bike (now has a KTM and complains of the rust) and reading here I took the plunge. Without ever riding an S10 I bought one and after a 480 mile round trip last Saturday became to owner of a 2014ES in Blue.

What can I say, I tried to pull out of the garage (in T mode) and stalled, something I vary rarely do. I wondered if I had made a mistake, where was the power/response. However after discovering S mode and riding the bike for three days I'm loving it. As people have said, a short test ride is not enough to understand what this bike is about.

I'm still getting used to the way this thing goes round corners, it's a step change from the Triumph, but I think it's gonna be good.

Cheers! ::003::

I bought my ZE last July from Chorley

I now live in North Yorkshire, but recently moved from the South Lakes (just outside Ulverston) so not too far from yourself ::008::

Greetings from Malta and welcome to the forum. I assume you got a new bike - if that's the case, give it some time to settle in. It's got power and you'll notice a change in characteristics after some time (at least that's my experience with my S10).

Good bike for everthing and two-up touring.

I have an older 2011 bike which badly needed a stiffer rear shock for two-up tours, but once that was sorted it was a joy.

Cheers all,

Still getting used to just using the front brake lever but the cornering is coming along. It's a pleasure being able to see at night as well, the Tiger light's were shocking even though I but HIDS in!!

Just need to persuade the wife we need an Akrapovic to let the growl out ;)
