Hey everybody,
Just saying hello from Tarentum, PA. I'm nearly 53yrs old (next month) and a rider of 18 yrs. I rode mostly UJM's and sportbikes. Right now I'm on a Goldwing and enjoying it very much. Always wanted to try a bagger ever since I saw a co-worker commuting on one a long while back.
I've been wanting to add a 2nd bike to the stable and have a short list of ones that might be real fun. Have recently opened my eyes to the possibility of an adventure bike. I live out in the country and some of the roads aren't so good. But might be ideal for something like an adventure bike. So now I'm here hoping to learn more. And have to say that the super tenere seems like a great value when compared to the other adventure bikes.
I noitced that there was just a huge discount on 13's and some still around. Does Yamaha do that often? I'm giving serious thoughts to maybe trying a '14-16 model with ES and wondering when might be the best time to buy. Thanks and looking forward to reading and getting to know the community!
