Looks like this is actually my third post, the first one being way back in March 2013.

Anyway, I pick up my 2013 this Wednesday. I fly into Philly and ride it back to central Texas. My present bike is a 2005 FZ1 that I bought near the end of 2010. It had 6100 miles on it then and about 46500 now, so I ride a decent amount. More than some, less than others. Before that I hadn't ridden since the 80's.

Look forward to learning more about Tenere's and contributing what I can.

Welcome!
Say hi to TJ for me. Make sure you take the slow way back. Weekday, school in session, non holiday will have the best possible conditions for you. Skyline, BRP, Cherohola, TOTD. If you've never rode the Applachias before you'll fall in love.

Ah, the reason I'm in this pickle. SB is the one that posted the ad I replied to on our "local" board. Thanks again for that, and for the welcome here.

That route is pretty much what I have planned, weather and time allowing. I fly in Wednesday, pick up the bike, spend the night with family, and leave Thursday headed back. Have to be at work Monday, so there won't be any moss growing under the wheels.
