Howdy, neighbor. Thankee kindly. If I had my Tenere here, I'd put your snow to shame, but the sentiment is appreciated. Us snowjitators have to stick ... uh, slip ... together. R ::008::

It's been an exceptionally mild winter with relatively little snow this year and I'm hoping for an early spring. I'm in Alberta on the east side of the Rockies - all the snow is the other side of the ridge in BC.

It's been so nice here in Edmonton that I'm considering asking the dealership to have my new Super Ten ready for end of February. Until then, if I get the urge, risk it with the KLR.

Here's to an early spring! ::018::

May as well say Hi too. Just picked my S10 last Thursday. Going over the whole thing. Ordered SW Mototech Skid Plate and Crash Guards, Fender Extender and Oxford Heated Grips from Dualsport Plus in Ontario. I'm sure I'll need a Windshield and maybe a Madstat also. Hooked up my pigtail to the battery for trickle charging and heated vest. Only managed a short jaunt down the street so far before winter set in. Anywho just saying howdy to all you other Albertains. Hope to meet a few of you all this riding season!!!

I got pretty much the same stuff. SW MO bars and plate; they are functional and solid. Look good. I got Yamaha heated grips as the dealer gave me a deal on them. they're pricey but you can cook wieners on them. I'm wondering how those battery operated heated jackets work. I guess that's for another thread. Maybe I'll do that. Camshaft from Calgary will be back in town tomorrow. He sounds like a pretty serious biker and knows lot of folks there.

OK, I have to go shovel snow. Bye for now. R

Rem, I scooped a heated jacket and boot insoles a few weeks back for one of my winter adventures. I bought Gerbing stuff, it is sweet, I bought a dual control and you can dial in the temp to your wishes. I also went with hybrid stuff that will run off lithium battery for off the sled/bike events. Both battery and plug in work well, thumbs up on this stuff. Dougie was able to hook me up in short time.
Sorry if you started another thread on this.

And hi to my fellow Canucks

Thanks, 'Dood. I'm gonna try one from Mark's here in town. Dakota. I talked to the manager yesterday and was told if I don't like it, I can return it, even at the end of season in the fall. What the hey. I won't buy Gerbing, as they have been extremely rude to me service-wise in the past. But that shouldn't stop anyone else. Apparently they make good stuff. Thanks again for helping me decide to spend some money. Bad 'Dood ... bad 'Dood. Remember, I'm a FISC now. Fixed Income Senior Citizen. You can drop some money off at my wife's shop if you want. She'll make sure it gets to me. R ::003::
