A friend got one a month or so ago, blue and grey ish. Beautiful bike and it is a wild ride, love the speed shifter. I like the cruise but naked bikes are are getting not so naked. Used to be beautiful in its simplicity, not so much anymore. Not knocking the S1000R, they're all getting that way. Even the Seed Triple will be new for '15 "updated" to keep pace.

I hear ya bud...I feel exactly the same way...nekkid means nekkid, I wish they'd stop putting these plastic panels on but I guess it's easier to design like that, covering things up. I took my side fairings off and just left the black infill panels but it looked a bit naff to be fair.

Congrats on the new ride.
I was by that dealer this past week and I was wondering why a new Tenere was sitting on a shipping crate outside the local BMW dealer :D
If you get back in the neighborhood let me know. Its always nice to see a nice new, clean Tenere once in a while. :-\

I'm always up for a ride...just gotta find a big stick first :))...(oh, and for the dealer to find the keys as they seemed to not have been shipped with the bike from the dealer in Edmonton).

I've seen 3 different Teneres on the island in the past 2 weeks...common as muck these bikes ::025::

Keep that cheque in your hand and make sure you get all 3 keys before handing it over. Two black and most important the red one which is necessary if you loose a key and want to get another chipped key re-registered. Then when you can get the seat off check to make sure the 3 keyed a like lock cylinders are there for the factory luggage if you go that route.
There's a few around the southern part of the island, but your sure to still get, "who makes that bike?" or its a " Tene what? "

You get a red key too? Oh thanks for the heads up as I wasn't expecting that. I know in the UK you do as I've had several Yamaha's over there but I thought the red key was only for the bikes with YISS fitted. I could've sworn I didn't have a red key with my FZ8 that I owned in Ontario back in 2012. When I did some digging at the time I found that North American motorcycle models don't have the YISS system fitted hence no red key. So the Tenere as YISS or some over engine immobilizer system?

Also, do you mean there should be 3 lock barrels under the seat that should fit the keys?

Yes, yes and you should find the lock barrels in the small tray under the seat. Seems its been reported that a few have picked up their new bikes and they have been missing.
