Header change only

Hey all, couldn’t find any info or vids on bikes with after market header only, with all else oem.

Friend has a set of unused Arrow headers he’s offering for a decent price however I’m not sure its worth the hassle.

If I do fit the Arrow headers will I need a power commander type gizmo and what, if any change will there be to noise?

The headers alone, should not make that much difference. basically, the only thing you are doing is removing the CAT.
If you are still running the stock exhaust, I don't see a problem. If you do change the exhaust, say to an akrapovic, or something similiar, then yes, you would need either a power commander, or have your ECM reflashed with a better tune.

My bike came with a MIVV can, which was promptly removed due to excess noise. I wouldn't mind a little more grunt though for those 'warning' blips when filtering through traffic. I would have thought no cat means slightly more noise?
