Just wanted to complement this group on an excellent site and great resource for the Super Tenere. Have to admit...I'm a GS guy, but after riding a Super Ten recently, I may be coming over! Just want to spend some time in here to convince myself to jump ship.

::004::Barkslayer several former BMW guys here as well as other brands. I would like the Tenere regardless of what brand it is. It's been a great travel bike for me. It eats miles comfortably, very stable and sure footed on those roads that don't see any maintenance. Very easy to do maintenance on. It really is a gas, oil, tires type of bike. It does like farkles.

Welcome Barkslayer! Former NW Ohio resident, BG area. Never did the GS thing, but after this Tenere it does all the GS does except goto the service department often. Many more Yammie dealers around Toledo, Findlay, Wauseon than BMW by far. Good luck finding faults or issues anyplace regarding the Tenere.

Well..... WELCOME over to the site.... If you end up with a new scoot ya gotta give us "your" comparison between the two.... Over the years we have read several guys that have gone back and forth between the brands. Its always interesting to read about there thoughts between the two.... Good luck with 'your new' Yamaha ! ::012::

Welcome from Oklahoma! I looked them over before getting my S10. Never regretted it for a minute. I have friends who ride the GS, but they are all considering the change after riding mine. Let the force guide you my son..... ::025::
