Hi Folks

Just ordered a super ten with the tree box system, does anyone know if the pillion grab rails can be retained when these are fitted?

You mean with a Yamaha top box, and Yamaha side cases? Yes, the passenger grab rails are retained, but your pillion is not going to like leaning back against that top case.

Doesn't somebody make a pad for the front of the tour trunks already?

I bought one from Twisted Throttle for my SW-Motech Trax top box. Haven't tried it out yet as my top box won't fit until a redesigned rear rack is shipped out to me. I believe it was $39.95. It's rather small but looks like it will work just fine and it's very well made.

No problem with the grab rails. 2" Foam on a hard board backing, wrapped in matt black Vinyl took care of my back pad. Wife is happy. Helps that she has a jacket with the foam back protector as well.
ps Tried 3" foam but it was too much, pushed her too far forward on the seat.

My wife has no problem leaning against it. Her jacket has a back protector in it that is pretty thick though.

Depending on the size of your pillion's feet, they may find the boxes force their feet forward on the pegs a bit.

Plenty of room left for the grab rails. My wife loves them.
