Givi top case question

Hi, I'm looking to get the Givi outback top box but from the pictures on the web site it looks like the mono key system takes up internal space inside the box and theres some type of cover at bottom of box that covers something up. Is that correct and anyone have any comments on the Givi box and mono key system I'd like to hear about them

There is a locking mechanism that intrudes into the box. The bottom has a rubber mat cover
