Givi Top Box Plate

Hi can any one confirm that the GIVI SRA2101 top box plate will fit any year Tenere. I have a 2012 model but the place im considering purchase the plate from says it only fits 2014/16
models.

It fits 2010 - 2017, you're fine with a 2012.

I have one installed on my 2012. Be sure to apply loctite thread locker on the screws.

You are welcome. I saw the Givi shop person using loctite as they installed for me. I would not have thought of it either.

Just a word of caution, the SRA2101 looks good, but it does carry a 6Kg weight restriction. Some say don't worry, it will take far more, but a failed plate could turn into a real PITA when touring.

Many of us have gone with Altrider instead, although there have been occasional issues with fracturing around the mountings even with these, which are pretty beefy. Search is your friend - have look around the forum before you commit.

The only information I can find on failures is for the Altrider rack which doesn't read or look well. The company also seems to still be countersinking there holes to deep into the plate.
I am surprised that Givi only rate there SRA 2101 at 6kg but I am sure that will be fine for me as I don't intend loading the box to much and there is no way I will ever be using a top box if I was to go on any off road trails.
I am still looking for any report of the Givi SRA 2101 failing but cant seem to find any.
