Looking to order Jesse panniers soon for my 2014 non es. I have a Givi v46 trunk from my FJR which I would like to use also on the Tenere. Provides additional storage when wife rides along and functions as her back rest. In regards to the two mounting solutions above are there differences in the final position of the trunk with regard to passenger room or interference with pannier lids? Does one versus the other position the trunk a little more forward or rearward or slightly higher or lower? The sr371 looks like it will work fine. Curious what others have experienced.
Thanks, Bob

I have a Givi E360N from a previous bike. I bought a 2014 ES last month and went through the same thing as you regarding the two mounting options. I live near Chaparral Motor Sports and they had an SR371 in stock. So I bought it. It fits great and my wife has enough room to sit back a bit. Plus it is about $30 cheaper.

Sorry, I have no experience with the 2101 but I hope this helps.

I have a 2012 S-10 with the SR 371 mounting bracket and using a B33N Top Case. No complaints from the passenger. I have a 2013 FJR with the SR 357 mounting bracket and the E55N top case. Either case will fit either bike but the side cases will not open on the S-10 with the E55N attached.

I have SR371.
Bought it just because it looked better to me.

So far, it was a great choice!

Can you post a bike of your bike with the B33N top case only...am thinking about going that route but would like to know how it would look first. Thanks!

I know you've ordered your SR371 but for the benefit of others..

There are two S10's in the garage, one with the SR371, the other with the SRA2101. Moving the same case between bikes and measuring....the difference in position fore/aft is less than 1/2", the SR371 having the negligible advantage. They are identical in mounting height.

I had to get the altrider rack with the givi attachment to get enough room for my wife to use the givi backrest on my trk52n. This way she doesn't crowd me up on the tank. Makes it very comfortable for both of us. It gave us an extra 2.5 - 3 inches over the SRA2101.

Good info Kurgan.
To follow up a year later. The Jessie 10" Odyssey combined with the Givi V46 has worked well. The wife is comfortable with the trunk as a backrest plus the additional storage when she is along. One small issue is with the Jessie 's slid back in the rack to offer more passenger leg room the rear corner of the lids rub slightly on the bottom corner of the Givi trunk when opening. I suppose that after many openings it may show a rub mark on the lids. So far just a slight anoyance.

Has anyone determined why Givi does not list the SR-371 as compatible for the 2014 and newer Tenere?

I was all set to order the SR-371 for my new bike as that is what I used on my '12, but now only the more expensive SR-2101 is listed.

TIA

I picked the SRA2101 because it looked like it would be more useful as a rack when the top box is not installed. It provides a flatter, fuller surface than the SR371 which looks to have a big opening the in the middle. The 2101 also has slots along the edges to slip tie down straps through. Kinda wish it came in black though.

Agree with that Jeff. Actually, I have never been fond of the "basic" composite version and silver colored "Givi" piece on each side.

The SRA2101 looks better IMO. With the box on it, no difference to the looks but with out the box, it looks like it was meant for the bike.

When I ordered my sr371 from Revzilla over a year ago for my 14 the rep at Revzilla gave me the phone number to Givi. They were very helpful in explaining that it would fit the 2014 model. The Givi rep did blame the IT department for the lack of an update. A year later and still no update. An easy fix and Givi could do much better.

I've found a couple other items that appear to have the LACK of update.

I'm still a bit on the fence as to which one to use this time.

Decisions decisions!!!

I pulls the trigger on my rack yesterday - went with the SRA2101. As noted, more expensive, but I like the looks and larger surface area better. Not crazy about the silver color, but that's what they make shaker cans for.......
