I also have an SW Motech SteelRack which will accept various types of case mounting hdw. It is made for 2012 650 V Stroms but the 2 fwd mounting holes just happen to line up with the Tenere fwd holes. You would need to drill 2 more holes in the rack to line up with bolts on the used Yamaha lower mount. Youd also need some long & short spacers for the 4 bolts.
Much less $$ than other new plates...& still brand new! Only $50

I think I will re-make one from poly cutting board. I did one, thanks to someone posting here with hints. It is less then perfect, second run through, I think I'll have big time DIY satisfaction!

I need that stock rack, or at least the support piece underneath and hardware. Want to add oem top case to match my oem panniers and it won't interface with the Altrider on the 2013 I bought in February.
