Got about 22K mile on the can and NO they do not require repacking.

It's a quality piece, and unless he's done something to abuse it, after 22k miles it probably does still look brand new. Mine does and it don't do anything special to keep it that way.

Well worth the asking price, IMHO.

Really, you think the picture you posted backs up your words? OK then, what "words" would you use to describe the appearance of the top half of the muffler as it appears in your single low quality picture?

Agreed. If anyone feels this product has been misrepresented (and I don't), then it is probably not the right one for you. I'm sure additional pics could be pm'd if politely asked for. NO they do not require repacking.

I'm NOT trolling here (and don't believe I ever have). Forums like this serve two main purposes, in my opinion. First is to provide a community for meeting others with a shared interest and secondly to provide detailed and accurate information on that interest. On that latter note , these mufflers are glass packed and MAY require repacking. Akrapovic does sell a repack kit for this muffler and the kit is listed on the last page of the installation instructions (see PDF HERE , which should come in handy to anyone buying this).
