Has anyone let the cat out of the bag and know what the dealer invoice price is? Sometimes it is the best kept secret and sometimes it is the worst kept secret. We all know that MSRP is $13,900. How about Invoice price?

Historically, invoice for large-displacement Japanese bikes has been about 84% of MSRP. This works out to about $11,700 which sounds consistent with the lowest prices people have been reporting... around $12K before TTL.

the dealer cost is $12117. Some dealers get back $400 or so at end of season as a kickback on top of it.

That's almost spot-on with the 84% of MSRP that Markjenn just reported. Good info to know.

I think the California dealer cost is a few hundred dollars higher from what I have heard from my dealer.
I guess they have to pay for all that emisions stuff that always seems to fall off of mine upon delivery.

I was kind of wondering how you came across that info.

I assume the $400 figure is variable, depending on sales volume - like car dealerships.

I paid $14k out the door, from that 14,000 subtract 8.75% state sales tax, documentation fees, state license fees. Using $350 for doc fees, avg. $350 (or more here in Calif.) for license fees and you come close to $12,100 for my starting point. The dealer was happy, and I'm happy...except for the wait.
