That Cat O ring is awesome I love ingenuity like this saves a lot of money. I can see the Cat parts guy's face when folks tell them it's being used as a cruise control on a bike. ???

the CAT O-Ring technique has been used for years on the Kawasaki Concours. I kept meaning to get some, but never got around to it before I sold the bike. I will likely try this on the S10 when it gets here.

Clip-on Crampbuster is a very low-tech option. I have them on both of my bikes and it will probably go on the Tenere when it gets here too.
I just wish we could still get the old original one (Throttle Rocker, I think they were) here in the US. I've heard you can still get them in Canada. I don't like the Velcro strap setup on the new ones.

Fred, those are neat looking switches. I wouldn't even know where to begin to tap into the control panel to make switches like you did.

Here is a pic from my 08 ST1300, Jeff. With that revision, I used a toggle switch for on/off instead of the pushbutton on my 05. It is sort of microsurgery getting those small switches and wiring in the switch pod and usually took me as long to do that as the whole rest of the cruise install. Worth it to me, though in the in the long run, as it eliminates the plastic controller that has to be mounted externally and makes the controls literally at the tip of your finger.

I currently ride a Concours 14, the Cat o-ring was my first farkle and yep...I got the idea from the Concours forum. When I walked into the Cat dealer to get one the parts guy looked at my First Gear jacket and said "Cruise Control?". Obviously I wasn't his first Concours customer. Be sure that you get the yellow one!

I just bought some of the o-rings from someone another forum that bought them in bulk. tommyelrod@comcast.net. He is selling them for $2 each, shipping is included in price.
