Check Speedo!

Was going over my new S10 today and found the speedo/tach unit loose. 3 screws holding it on. Just hold it and see if you can shake it foreward and back. Mine was very loose. Cured it by installing 3 plumbing rubber washers onto the 3 screws holding the unit on. Easy to remove headlite housing from the front(4 bolts). Makes it easier to get at the 3 philips screws holding the speedo on. Nice and snug now. Just a heads up! ::001::

Hi when i first got my s10 i thought the speedo was loose :'( ::006::
so i tried to tighten up the bolts , ::) but they were tight ::012::
so left well alone and have had no probllems, they are all like that ??? ???

The license plate light housing is the same way.

Plus you don't even want to think about the $$$$'s to replace the instrument cluster if it fails! Switch it back.

I can understand a little jiggle room but too loose is too loose. Its not tight just slightly snug now. Think I'll leave it that way. Tks.
