My Yamaha dealer called me on Saturday morning at the request of the Yamaha Western Regional Sales Manager. They wanted to know if I would assist them with the Tenere display, in the capacity of an owner. Of couse I said yes!! I brought along another Tenere owner with me [we rode the bikes to the show] and we had a great time talking to all kinds of people about the Tenere. Generally, older crusier guys showed the most interest. I think that that we swayed people away from the other manufacturer's adventure bike offerings, certainly the Versys and the Triumph Explorer, and Bimmer because of the price point [among other things].
Thanks to Yamaha Canada and Seitzco Motorsports for the opportunity. Yamaha had a great display set up and they even had one of Rem's quotes about the Tenere posted at the booth and the quote is even included in the Tenere brochure we were handing out. I have sent the picture of the quote to Rem so, hopefully he'll post it for you all.
It's +11C again in Calgary today so it's time to head out on the bike [5 rides in the past week].
