Time for a new rear rotor :( Do I stick with stock which I got 40.000 miles out of or try something like a bat fly rotor.

I'd go with the new Batman rotor................................ if you like throwing your money away. Jeez that is one expensive rotor, and for the rear!! You don't need the rear rotor to be 'race spec' as you should not really be using the back brake much anyway (although that is used when the front applied). That is just my opinion of course. Stick with what works.

I agree with the others. The point of that product is to save weight more than to improve performance. Especially for a rear rotor, (the link took me to a front rotor). Braking makes good products. I used a set on my FJR in the past, but not at that price point. Ebay is your friend too, sometimes. You can get a Galfer from the UK for under $200 shipped if you feel like doing something different.
LINK There is even a lightly used rear rotor from a '14 ES for $80 bid. Likely would get it for that, as rotors don't sell much.

How did you wear out the rear rotor in only 40K miles? Did you determine that it's at minimum thickness or did it become damaged somehow?
