Leaving the Romney Cycle camp out this morning I wanted to find a canyon I had spotted while studying the topographic view of a favorite road. Looked interesting and with an official name of US Rt 219 I thought it must be a real road. After two rocky water crossings, and lots of rocks and mud I'm not so sure many people are using this road. I know I never saw anyone else on it. It was an excellent workout for the K60s.

The idiot in charge of the camera forgot to set the lens to a horizontal position, so this is a very tall video.

Canyon Road

One more example of why the Tenere is such a fantastic bike. Can easily handle this crap, and also comfortably ride 2000 miles a week on a trip.

Looks like I should have come over with you! Was there an actual canyon there?

I see the water is the "blackwater" after which the falls are named.

I think you would have like it. I am so glad we did your ride and not mine. I can't imagine putting anyone else on this "road." Ironic that I removed the muddy road from my intended course and added this easy one instead. I think there was a canyon, but with all the leaves on the trees I never saw it once.

Tires are the Heidenau K60. ::008::

Bear hunters use that road all the time. Or at least they did when we had a deer camp closeby years ago. But them and a few nutso deer/turkey hunters. And you of course! :D
