My friend Davide Biga from Italy designed a grill that improves the refrigeration of the Supertenere in warm climates at low speeds.
He kindly passed me one made by himselve as a gift.
The plastic that aims to channel the flow of air when the fan operates (fastened with one bolt to the radiator) is removed.
The grill is installed on the plastic cover.
Davide measured the time it takes the fan to stop since it starts with the motor in idle. It is the same with and without the plastic designed by Yamaha.
But a better ventilation flow is achieved with the grill and without the plastic at approximately 30 km / h (18.6 mph). At such speed the fan no longer starts.
The original plastic radiator cover mus be reinstalled al cold weather.
