Has any of you ridden these roads. I know nothing about these roads other than what I see on Google Maps. What do you know?

Bear Gulch Road is a single lane. I found a gate though don't know if it is ever closed. Looks to be a private gate (rot iron).

Tunitas Creek Road is also a single lane.

Both are beautifully lined with trees, redwood trees.

Bear Gulch is closed to through traffic. Fun road to the gate coming down from Skyline. Tunitas Creek is is wider than Bear Gulch, just as remote and twisty though. I'd enjoy it more going east, I love powering up hill.

Where on Tunitas Road is the gate?

Next time you might take 84 down and Bear Gulch Road up.

Star Hill Road and Lobitos Creek Road look like alternatives.

Bear Gulch was the one with the gate. My Streets & Trips actually shows a gap between the east and west ends. Just before you get to the gate the trees open up in this huge meadow, gives a great view west. There's more Bear Gulch on the east side of Skyline too, makes a loop.
Pescadero and Alpine also look like fun. There's a couple roads that give access to the back side of a couple parks as well. I need to get out there earlier in the day...

I think it is "wrought" not rot. wrought meaning "worked". Sorry, I got a kick out of rot, although the gate may be rotting.

You are correct. Hate it when I do that.
