I want to mount auxiliary lights to my 2017 Super Tenere. I have found two brackets that I like, but they mount the lights in completely different areas and I want to solicit advice from folks here with a lot more experience on which position for the lights is better (pro and cons). I am probably going to go with lights similar to the PIAA 3.5" or some other brand about that size. I do not have crash bars and don't know if I will ever get any. I may get the Yamaha skid plate for very light duty slow fire road, open field type of riding. I ride mainly on road and have a dirt bike for off road.
The first option is to use the Yamaha brackets which mount the lights neatly under the headlight:
The second option is to use the Denali mounting brackets and move the lights farther outward:
Thanks for your replies and comments.
