I want to get some aux lights (or led bar) but I don't want to spend a lot of money, and I also need a simple and effective install since I am not very handy with electrical stuff.
Thanks in advanced

You want your cake AND eat it? Simple to fit would be factory Yamaha aux lights, but they ain't cheap. There are loads of good universal fit ones on Ebay (and crappy ones too...) but then they need wiring up correctly to suit the bike's electrical system, but you're not very handy at wiring. Given the possibility of doing a bodge job on the wiring and all the pitfalls that could follow I would err on the side of caution and convenience and get the factory aux lights.

We have a few threads here in this subforum with plenty of detail on installing LED lights. Quick hint is that the search function here doesn't work with 3-letter words. The work around for that is to use Google, and tell it to search this site. A search would look like this:

LED light install site:yamahasupertenere.com

12 volt DC electrical is very straightforward, as every light will need a positive and negative connection to the vehicle. You can use the wattage of the lights to calculate how many amps they will pull, which will determine both wire gauge and fuse size needed for the circuit. Simply take the wattage of the lights and divide by 12 to get the amperage. For example, a 35 watt light, will draw just under 3 amps.

There are several manufacturers for electrical add-ons, such as fuse boxes and solid state control devices. They should come up in the install threads here as well. Good luck and welcome aboard!
