Got the baffle fitted on my arrow can (got headers as well) but it's still pretty loud, I could refit the standard can but would rather try and get a better ( quieter) baffle, any idea's ??

Cheers guys

Akra is the 'performance' quite unit. You don't gain much over stock in power, mostly looks. The Arrow is 3 Hp at the rear tire.

Take baffle out, try putting some tape over a couple of the holes, try it for noise, chop and change till you like it, then get some welding to make a permanent change to the baffle.

Put a nut & bolt over the end hole of the baffle, didn't make any difference so ordered some wadding, I'll start by repacking the can....

Took the can to bits today, all of the wadding in the Center of the can had burnt away, so repacked with Acousta-Fil, needs a good run now to get the wadding hot to expand it but gotta be better than it was...

The baffles typically allow the packing to blow out over time.
I do what Micron brand has done. First layer is a SS screen wrapped around the baffle, then the packing.
A muffler with packing always sound better than anything unpacked.

I have the Yoshimura can and it is very quiet. I wish it was a bit louder, sometimes I think I should have bought the Arrow can..... YMMV.

When I stripped the arrow can down, there is a SS screen round the inner perforated tube, strange thing was, the wadding was OK for 5" on either end but all the centre wadding was gone....

And it seems to run OK with that end hole blocked off? I have been thinking about doing the same thing.

Seems OK, at the end of the day, there are 8 holes round the baffle for gas flow, I might loose a couple of bhp but who cares
