Anyone use the Garmin Rino GPS?

I have a buddy with a Kawasaki KLR650 who swears by the Garmin Rino 530HCx gps.

It's a 5w radio, and gps, waterproof, with NOAA updates and ability to find other riders in your team and give them gps waypoints to find you or vice versa. Does any use this and can attest to its usefulness? Does it give good turn by turn navigation on roads/highways?

Had a slightly earlier version and it was usable, but never liked it. The screen was just too small to be a true road GPS and constant toggling in/out with the joystick while on the bike isn't convenient. It takes regular flipping between pages and either it used lots of AA batteries or I had to fiddle with the Garmin power plug.
