My letter arrived yesterday. No leaks, means I am in no hurry to have the recall done.

I'm going to be taking my 2010 Concours in to get the warped front rotors replaced soon, so I'll ask the service manager then about the Yamaha recall. I dont really care if they do it or not but if its something that Yamaha will pay them for, I'll let them do it.
Times are tough and they might need some work. I've known a couple of the guys there for a long time.
I ain't touching mine either Ron. If it ain't broke I certainly don't go looking for a reason to tear into it or have some unqualified kid mechanic 20 years my junior go wrenching on my bike just because the manufacturer said it needed it. I could write a book on the recall letters I have received from Toyota concerning my '10 Tundra which was suppose to have a sticking accelerator pedal, bad TPM sensors, floor mats that move to which none of this has been any friggin issue on my truck in 27k miles. it's the US of A where everyone sues someone day in day out and lawyers and bankers run this country.RonH said:I hope Yamaha is not like Ford. I've gotten probably 50 recall notices I've ignored on my van and truck. Van is almost 20yrs old now! I guess no time limitations on these idiotic recalls. Brake fluid could leak, start on fire then the 100ft high flames as seen on CNN. Come on, since when in the hell did brake fluid become flammable? Oh yea it leaks on wiring then the non-flammable casing of wiring mixed with brake fluid becomes a lethal mix. I see these recalls, weigh the odds of the serious danger and make my own choice which is normally to take my chances and I wish when I made my choice they would quit the flock bugging me over and over about the same rediculous thing for 20 straight years.
