I thought 2012 was the first year offered in the USA.

Yup we're riding '12's now. You might be able to swing a 'World Crosser' next year. And I too thought I read of a price jump from our pre-ordered bikes to the regular distributed run of bikes.

Welcome to the Forum!

Anything you buy in March should be pretty much identical to all the rest sold here so far. Not sure if you will even see much change for the 2013 models, other than maybe color.

Welcome on, garyr. Sorry you have to wait until March, but some of us waited a lot longer. I doubt you'll see any discernible differences. Hard to improve on perfection. Again, ::004:: . R ::022::

I think what we're all trying to say is that to date, all US bikes have been identical 2012's. They're all essentially the same except that bikes ordered under the PDP system were $13,900 MSRP and bikes ordered after the PDP closed are $14,500 MSRP.

Now if your March 2012 bike is coming from a new production batch of some sort, then it is possible it might be some kind of changed spec, but we're heard nothing about Yamaha's plans going forward from the current batch (or even IF they are going to do a new batch), so hard to say. I'd be surprised if a bike with any changes is going to be around in March - more than likely it will be the same bike from the initial production run that occurred during summer 2011.
