I have gone threw my share of boots over the years and was looking for something new. Got a tip from a riding buddy in regards to some riding boots. He had ordered some custom fit boots from Altberg in the England. I said are you nuts, there has to be better options closer by. Well, i decided to go with his suggestion and my boots just arrived, 3 weeks fromt he time I placed my order. They are sweet looking, well put together and oh so comfortable. Waterproff, breathable lite with protection. Thought I would apps ona good review

::026:: and a link, and what price you paid. (And what model boot you got)

Linky - http://www.altberg.co.uk/Web/motorcycle.jsp/[url] Not exactly cheap either at $265 USD for the Hogg All Weather original. Interesting combo boot for hiking/riding, but I'm not sold on it's protection level for riding.

I'm a fan of Alberg boots. I've had a pair of Clubmans ( http://www.altberg.co.uk/Web/motorcycle_ClubRoad.jsp ) for over 65000 miles. I was lucky enough to have them tailor made and fitted. At the present time I'd say they're halfway through their life and so very cheap in the long run. Very comfortable and very waterproof (still).
This model is not appropriate for off roading, but Altberg have a range and they know how to make boots for the Services.

Very popular in the UK, I believe the quality as very high.

Probably not as protective as the best bike boots, but when touring and walking around a lot they won't kill your feet either.
