Hi guys. First post. I am loving the machine!! I somehow set my instrument cluster to metric (is KPH). Does anyone know how to set this back to MPH? I looked in the owners manual but did not see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hold down left button it will switch back. I already done that and thought my bike gained 100 miles. I thought the gauges had screwed up.

Was it just the speedo that changed or did it go all metric?

It usually seems to happen when you're trying to reset your trip odo. If you don't cycle through the readings and make the one you want to zero out flash, kph will pop up if you hold the button down slightly longer than for the odo reset.

Don nailed it.

If you want to reset the tripmeters to zero, you must do it while they're flashing. Otherwise, you'll reset the entire instrument cluster to KM.

This happened on my ride home and I thought my display was wigging out until I realize what had happened!

I have tried and looked through the manual with no luck which is disappointing because we travel through the USA a lot. Still love my S10..

I'd read that earlier, the Canadian bikes don't switch for some strange reason. No reason for Yamaha to have made two different clusters for essentially the same shipment of bikes. Maybe your friendly Yamaha PR gal... Ruth was it? can find out something.
