I started the bike on the stand put in gear and let the the tire spin under own power no gas. Now I can't get the engine and abs lights to turn off. Have I fooled something up or is there a way to reset these lights?

I got the ABS light off by moving it a little but the engine light is still on. Also I just noticed its displaying 69 on the display. Any ideas?

Mine did they same thing you have to take it for a ride to get both wheels
moving at the same time to reset the system.
But with all the snow you got today it could be sometime. ::022::

Got her moving in the garage enough to get the ABS off but I thought if I could get her out for a longer run I it would reset the engine light. Any ideas on reseting without a run?

Didn't actually see a code number just the lights on.
It looks like it should be sunny for you next week to get it out for a longer ride.
I went around the block a few times.
I would also say if you disconnect the battery it should reset.

Do you have a copy of the service manual (new North American version)? Both of the issues appear to be covered.

The manual confirms that “gently riding the bike up to 20 km/h (12 mph) on a straight road without hard acceleration will reset the ABS” (page 1-16). The Engine Warning Light could be a number of things, but what appears to trigger that engine warning light when running on the center stand is the disabling of the Traction Control System. The fix for that is that same “gentle ride” but the manual does run through a whole trouble shooting process (page 1-30). I think the gentle ride at 20 km/h is the first step.

I will try going for a run next week if the snow clears. If I don't get out I may leave it or unplug the battery for a while. I don't have the North American service manual but have a digital copy of the euro one. Thanks for the advise...
