Not sure which is the correct forum to ask in. Twice I have tried to post with pictures and twice it has failed. Can anyone give some advise on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

From the attachment section for uploading files (not just pics):

Allowed file types: doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, gpx, pvm
Restrictions: 10 per post, maximum total size 5000KB, maximum individual size 250KB
You also have the option to link pics from another web server (i.e. Smugmug, Google, etc).

The forum doesn't have the space to upload everybody's photo, so we take links to Photobucket and other photo sites.
1. Save your photo to Photobucket or another photo website. You may need to open a free account.
2. Copy the direct URL code for your photo.
3. Come back to where you want to post the photo in this forum and look for the icon which has a picture in a frame. It's right beneath the B for creating bold text. Click on the icon.
4. Paste your URL into the block which will open, then hit Save.
Note that we do have a section of the forum for trying this out.

And if you don't want to fuss with a web based photo site, create an account, host all your pics there, etc. An option is to use a site like www.tinypic.com. There are ads, there is some anti-spam hoops to jump thru, but it's quick, easy, gives you the correct IMG code to simply copy/paste into your forum reply w/o any of the above tabs and the pics stay good for a very, very long time. (years) I see more bad links from people's personal photo sites since they re-organized or deleted some other pics and the links no longer work. That doesn't happen on tinypic.com since you're not changing things there. It's also a simply way to re-size pics for us lazy bastids that take big pics and just save them to our computer.
