What a day, 84 degrees here. It's supposed to cool down again and get rainy, but these days are more than welcome.

I took the snowblower off my tractor yesterday and am in the process of getting the mower deck ready for the season. I bought a cheap-o bench grinder from Harbor Freight to take care of the blade sharpening duties this year. Gotta love power equipment.

How's everybody else making out as far as Spring prep goes?

It snowed nearly every weekend here in the last couple of months. I rode today but another storm rolls in tonight. Looking somewhat acceptable for next weekend but that could change. Seems like winter is still hanging on here.

Spent most of the week gathering leaves last week. The oaks shed their leaves in the Spring here and I get about 150 bags worth of leaves in the yard each year. Of course, I don't bag them any more. Too much work. I just dump them in the woods.

We have had a dry Spring and really do need moisture. Temps have been more than warm enough for riding, but between my basement project and my broken wrist - did not make it out much so far. I am planning a trip to TX on my FJR in about 3 1/2 weeks. Looking forward to it as it will be my first longer ride this year.

Mid-60's here today!!!

:)

Venture got what we had yesterday in Detroit. Went to a ballgame at Comerica Park and I swear I could hear my skin sizzle.. 84 degrees and not fun. Today we dropped to the mid sixties and cloudy (typical Detroit weather and cloud cover this time of year)

Send 'em to Detroit! Kansas City beat us 9 to 5. Seattle should be a good match-up.

I like to think PA is a nice happy medium, not too hot, not too cold, a nice mix. Troll, I don't know how you guys handle it way up there! Being able to snowmobile all the time would be fun though...

Ehhhh. Snowmobiling is fun, but motorsickeling is better. I'm getting really grumpy about all this. Someone is going to have to pay. R

Channel it man. Focus on the arrival of your Super 10. And then when it arrives; break it in real good...... :)

No, I've decided to be grumpy about it. I'm gonna go kill a spider. Oh, never mind. They're still hibernating. R

i wouldn't live in the heat and humidity again. I would turn down good money of a job to stay away from heat and humidity again. I even got sick of our vacation last year in Hawaii....too hot and humid!!!! AARRGGHH, give me some shade, or 65 and sunny!!! (have i lived in seattle too long??)

+1 - and it's within a 1/2 days ride north or south of some excellent riding.

What is this "Spring Prep" you speak of? My bike is in the garage ready to go at a moment's notice. And when I'm not flying all over the country, I'm commuting to the office everyday on two wheels...Of course, last weekend, it was 109 here at the house already, then this past weekend, it only made it to 55, with lots of rain. Still managed to fire up the grill both Saturday and Sunday though...
